Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Video Tagger is a desktop application produced by Duijiaozhen ("we", "us"). It runs on your computer and operates on files you choose. We do not host a cloud service that stores or processes your video library.

2. What the app does on your machine

3. What we do not do

4. Third-party metadata providers

When you enable a metadata provider (such as TMDB) and supply your own API key, Video Tagger sends search queries directly from your machine to that provider's servers. Those requests are governed by the provider's own privacy policy. We do not see, log, or proxy them.

5. Payments and license activation

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, billing, and payment-data collection on its own infrastructure. The desktop app never receives card numbers.

License activation transmits only the license key. Activation does not transmit your library data, file paths, or filenames.

6. Logs & diagnostics

The application writes local logs to your machine for troubleshooting (~/Library/Logs/com.duijiaozhen.videotagger/). These logs are not transmitted off your machine. If you contact support, you may choose to send a log file to us by email.

7. Data subject rights

Because we do not collect personal data through the app, there is generally no data for us to access, export, or delete. If you have purchased a license, you may contact [email protected] regarding the limited information stored by Paddle and our license-issuance records (e.g. email address tied to your license).

8. Children

The product is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
